PACKAGING

We sometimes offer free postage and packaging.

If such an offer is in force the explanation below is not relevant.

POSTAGE COSTS are calculated on a weight, service and destination basis.

Our basic charge for Postage and Packaging for UK addresses, 24 hour( except the Highlands and Islands), Standard Service (Delivery between 9.00am and 5.00pm) is £7.00 for Postage and £3.95 for Packaging making a total of £10.95. This charge is applicable for parcels up to 9kgs.

Parcels weighing more than 9kgs, for other Destinations and using other services will have their P+P costs automatically calculated.

THESE CHARGES ARE SHOWN TO YOU ON THE ORDER FORM BEFORE YOU COMMIT TO ORDERING THE PRODUCTS.

All these charges relate to Express Services as the vast majority of our packages contain perishable products.

Unless otherwise stated we dispatch parcels containing perishable products as follows.

Products are packed in white insulating polystyrene boxes and padded with polystyrene chips.

"Icepacks " are included to keep temperatures down to an acceptable level during transit. These packs still provide a chilling effect when unfrozen.

This package is then placed in a white cardboard postal outer as shown in the photograph opposite.

Wooden boxes are packed in brown double skin cardboard outes as shown opposite with FRAGILE printed on it. Packing in wooden boxes is generally red shredded paper.

Wicker Hamper Baskets include "Icepacks" if required, are packed with polystyrene chips and are then placed in brown double skin cardboard outers.

Red Gingham baskets as used in the CHEESE BASKETS and SMOKED SALMON BASKETS are packed in polystyrene boxes with "Ice packs" and polystyrene chips as described above

All Cardboard and shredded paper products can be recycled

Polystyrene boxes are re-usable and are very useful for chilling shopping , picnics etc.

Ice packs are re useable after re freezing.Take them in the polystyrene boxes when shopping to keep you frozen food frozen.

In the description of our hampers we inform you of the method of packaging.

If individually selecting food items and you do not opt to purchase a wicker basket then your selection will be packaged in an insulating polystyrene box with ice packs if required.

Should you wish your Gift to be packaged in a Picnic Basket please select from the options below.

If the basket you select will not accommodate the goods selected we will contact you
